Are you (or your child) aged 5 – 17 and interested in learning how to play roller derby? Here is the best place to start!

The Convict City Junior Rollers program focuses on building the foundations of the sport: speed, skills, agility, strength and basic strategies.

Following the Skate Victoria Juniors program levels, the coaches create tailored age appropriate content designed to keep kids engaged and active. And most importantly, the sessions are fun! It is a great way for future roller derby stars to learn the foundations of skating, team work and fitness.

CCR is an inclusive organisation dedicated to providing a safe space for children. Not only do all of our coaches have the required documentation for working with children in Tasmania, we pride ourselves on offering an inclusive space for children of all genders, abilities and backgrounds.

We know that getting started can be expensive, so we can provide all the skates and safety gear your child needs for a small hire fee. All you need to buy is a mouthguard.

Our classes cost $8 – $10 per session. Insurance is an annual fee and starts from $25.

No! We will teach them everything they need to know. All we ask is that they come prepared to learn and respect the learning space of others.

We prefer you stay for at least the first couple sessions while we get to know your child and they get to know us. We have hot beverages and a nice place to sit and watch. Once they are settled into the program, we take your contact details and you are free to leave them in our care.

Classes are held at our home venue, C-Block in North Hobart.

Classes run during school terms on a Tuesday or Thursday afternoon. We also have occasional school holiday skate activities.

To sign up, you can contact us directly or simply fill in the contact form / click the FB messenger button on this page and we will send you all the info. We also have a FB page, Convict City Junior Rollers.
