THANK YOU to all the skaters, volunteers, officials and referees who made our second bout a great success! Yes we were hammered around the track but fought valiantly and from all the facebook comments still provided good entertainment.... it was truly character building stuff and a great experience! Big Up to our Supporters, Family and Friends (including members from VDR& SIS, thanks guys :-) that filled the stadium again and really made it an awesome night.
A very BIG THANK YOU to Head Referee Puppet Marsters from Ballarat Roller Derby and also to Riff Raff Saff who came down from GRDL to be a Jammer Referee, the Ballarat Zebras, our very own Meg LaManiac and Sookie Smackhouse, and the rest of the Zebras Without Borders crew.
Equally BIG thank you to our Production Manager, Jason James (and Assistant Michelle) who again ensured the event ran smoothly, and Dot Dash who lead the CCR Event team, our Volunteer Co-ordinator Brittnasty, and our commentators Andrew and Sid plus excellent - and very generous at the last minute response to "help!" - DJ. Once again our brilliant on-track entertainment was our very own "Duchess of Squawk" as her on stage persona Madame Goulash.
You can be well assured we are already thinking about locking in dates for our Bout season 2011 so keep an eye on Facebook and this site for details

A very BIG THANK YOU to Ref Fink who flew down from Geelong Roller Derby League to be our Head Referee and also to Riff Raff Saff (trying on potential new ref name "Flannelref" for the night) who also came down from GRDL to referee, the VDR Zebras and our very own Sookie Smackhouse - you guys just made it all look so easy and professional!
Kudos goes to all the VDR crew that came down to assist - in addition to the Skating team - and South Island Siren members that helped out.
Equally BIG thank you to our Production Manager, Jason James who masterfully orchestrated the running of the event and our very own Dot Dash who lead the CCR Event team - our commentators Andrew Harper and Flaming Warrior kept the crowd informed and revved up with help from the good vibes of DJ Olivia. Highlighting our entertainment was our very own "Duchess of Squawk" as her on stage personas Madame Goulash and Maurice.
